Emma is a freelance stage manager from Bergen County, New Jersey. She has been stage managing since age 15 and working professionally since age 18. Emma began working for Summerstage as the ASM for Annie in 2012 and went on to PSM South Pacific and Les Miserables. It has been amazing to be a part of the SummerStage family and she is thrilled to rejoin for the 19th season!
Emma attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for two years thanks to the William R. Kenan, Jr. Excellence Scholarship. There, she stage managed for the two Regional Theatre Companies of Winston-Salem, NC. She spent the past three summers at the Williamstown Theatre Festival working as a Stage Management Intern. After returning to New Jersey, Emma joined as one of the Resident Stage Managers for Skyline Theatre Company.
Notable stage management credits include, A Legendary Romance, And No More Shall We Part, Paradise Blue, Off The Main Road (WTF); Evita, This Wonderful Life, Doubt, The Elephant Man (Skyline); The Rise and Fall of Marcus Monroe (Maximum Entertainment); A Little Night Music (Piedmont Opera); Wit (Triad Stage); Women Rising: Stories of Hope (Speranza).
Emma graduates from Montclair State University in May 2018 with a B.A. in General Humanities, a Concentration in Comparative Mythology and Literature, and Minors in Classics and Myth Studies. She would like to thank her mom, her first stage management mentor Jason Kooistra, and Dr. Frank Livelli for inviting me back!
